This week at school we are making Rajasthani puppets because we have a play on the 26th of November.  The puppets are from India.  Every skirt means a new generation.  (Say a grandfather had one, then he died, he would give the puppet to his son or daughter.  They would make another layer of the skirt.  Then when they died, they would give it to their son or daughter and they would add another layer of a skirt on top.)  When they are done with their puppet (because the puppet is worn out) the family would put it on a piece of wood in a holy river and say some lovely words to it, such as “thank you for being my hard-working puppet and the money you made for me.  You were the best puppet.”

On pizza lunch M.’s mom came. We had cake pops on E.’s birthday and for J’.s birthday we have cupcakes.
