T.W.A.S.
January 18-22
This week at school was so busy we didn't even have time to write about it! So this is being recorded by Ms. Rutland.
We continue to work on our Social Studies postcards. Students have created their pic collages and are now writing the postcard from their travel to either Ukraine, Peru, India, and Tunisia. A couple of the collages are below - but be sure to stop by our class at the end of January to see the finished projects on the bulletin board.
Our classrooms have been noisily building instruments from recycled materials in Science and we've just begun presenting these to each other.
The Estimation Jar has begun and kids and parents have kept us busy estimating, counting, and adding. Thanks for your support with this! We've also been skip counting with money and are continuing to work on the steps of 3 digit addition and subtraction.
A highlight of the week was a presentation from "Motivational Magic" where we learned that by filling other people's buckets we fill our own. The students took this to heart with a record number of contributions made to our character box!
We are looking forward to finishing our postcards and musical presentation next week! I'm sure it will be just as busy!
